Alion Science and Technology is an employee-owned technology solutions company delivering technical expertise and operational support to the Department of Defense, civilian government agencies and commercial customers. Alion's JJMA Marine & Industrial Engineering Operation includes engineers and technicians in a variety of engineering disciplines suited toward the industrial sector and the Department of Defense.

The total company staff is about 3700, located in offices throughout the United States. Alion provides engineering, program management, system integration, design and analysis for electrical and mechanical systems. Alion's engineers and support staff have proven technical expertise in a variety of projects including environmental engineering; auxiliary fluid and air systems; electrical, control, and instrumental systems; power distribution; hydraulic systems; manufacturing technology; marine engineering and commercial power.

D’Appolonia Engineering (D’Appolonia), an engineering consulting firm with offices in Monroeville, Pennsylvania and Genoa, Italy, provides engineering, scientific and construction-related services to industry and government throughout the U.S. and the world. D’Appolonia’s core capabilities in civil engineering and earth sciences include specialties in the areas of geotechnical, geoenvironmental, water resources and construction engineering, geology, geophysics and groundwater hydrology. In response to deregulation of the power generation industry and the increasing use of more efficient and more sustainable methods to generate power, D’Appolonia has applied its capabilities to meet the changing demands of this industry. Our services to the power generation industry include site civil design and permitting, waste disposal facility design, subsidence evaluations, environmental assessment and mitigation, power enhancement studies, and structural design.

Integrated Consultants & Engineers, Inc. (ICE), based in Trafford, Pennsylvania (a suburb of Pittsburgh) provides structural engineering consultation services (design and analysis) to a wide variety of industrial customers. ICE specializes in nuclear / fossil power plant engineering and related project management; with significant experience in turbine foundation design engineering, piping systems design / analysis, plant up-ratings, turbine-generator replacements and gas turbine inlet air-cooling technologies.

LKE-Dynamic Power Technologies S.R.O. (LKE-DPT) is a Czech company that was formed as a 50-50 partnership between ICE and LK Engineering (LKE); which is located in the scenic city of Brno, Czech Republic. Brno is centrally located in Eastern Europe and was selected as the site of the headquarters since Prague, Bratislava and Vienna can be reached within 2 hours driving time. Major cities in Germany can be reached within 6 hours driving time.

LKE-DPT brings the talents of ICE and LKE together in order to better serve our customers in the United States and to position the organizations for the growth expected and subsequent opportunities when the Czech Republic and other surrounding countries join the European Union in 2005. The operation of LKE-DPT facilitates the interaction of our resources with our international customers and with the other ICE subsidiary, Dynamic Power Technologies.

Power Tech Associates (PTA), Founded in 1989 by former Westinghouse Executives Jim Borden and Mario DeCorso, Power Tech Associates offers a complete range of power plant consulting services and certain specialty components. PTA provides across-the-board services in power generation with particular emphasis on gas turbines ranging from basic design and testing to product development and research. PTA employs over 70 associates world-wide. Many of its associates are former Westinghouse employees with others from GE, Pratt & Whitney (TMP) and Textron Lycoming. PTA’s associates have a broad range of capabilities and experience levels ranging from 15 to 40 years of design experience, field support and testing to product development and research. Each Power Tech associate has a strong technical interest and great pride in designing and helps develop high-quality power generation resources.
